How is Julio Bahamon in ITCS 4230 - Introduction to Game Design and Development?

Hey folks! How is Julio Bahamon in intro to game dev? I'm hesitant between the combos:

AI for computer games with Jugan + Intro to game dev with Bahamon
AI for computer games with Jugan + Mobile application development with Mohamed Shehab

I tried reaching out to the professors for the syllabus and haven't heard back from them. So if anyone took one of these courses recently and can share their opinions/syllabus I would really appreciate it.

Bahamon is a great professor. He's one of the few I actually enjoyed learning from when I was enrolled. From my experience, he explained things in a way I easily understood. His class is not a cakewalk by any means, but give a good effort, ask questions, and you'll do well.

Bahamon is a good professor, but the class itself is an INSANE amount of work.

It felt like 2-3 classes worth of work stacked on top of each other when I took it online during covid.

Does the class have quizzes/exams or pure coding?

In my opinion, Julio Bahamon is a fantastic professor and really cares about the material and topics. Mobile application development with Mohamed Shehab is also a perfectly fine class but is more work.

Class was great! The TA's are usually super awesome and helpful. It's definitely a ton of work at first. If you find the first 4 weeks you'll be super far ahead. I was always 1 month ahead in all my work. It definitely is worth getting ahead in this class or you'll risk being overwhelmed.

Julio Bahamon was one of my senior advisors, and one of the few professors at UNCC I admired greatly. His classes are challenging but fair, and you can absolutely get As if you pay attention in class and do your homework. He's also really into gaming, so talking to him outside of class hours about what he's currently playing is pretty cool too. Finally, there was a problem with one of my classmates (a personal issue she was having that lead me to be concerned about her) and I was able to go to him and he instantly took it seriously and we were able to get her help. So he's just a good man and has my utmost respect.
